Our goal is to bring great music onchain - and we did so this week with 10 new tracks and 3 new artists.
Most importantly - we deposited .5 ETH into Coop Records Club as a part of the Hybersub V2 launch.
We're creating a system where our collectors and artists are aligned in the success of Coop Records. This means if you subbed to Coop Records Club - you have some ETH waiting for you to claim!
We went deep on our UK roster this week - starting with NOTION's genesis track "TRIGGER FINGER". He's one of the hottest acts in the country right now - playing direct support for artists like Sammy Virji and Hamdi and frequently collaborating with our very own 33 Below.
Onboarding NOTION was a huge deal for us - he's an act that represents what's popping in electronic music and has an audience of 1.3M monthly listeners to boast. See for yourself in this clip of TRIGGER FINGER on Tiktok.
We complimented NOTION's genesis with a new ATRIP record we absolutely love called Ginger. ATRIP is one of those acts that every electronic producer loves - the rest of the world just doesn't know it yet. We teamed up with HIGHER to run a quest on Layer3 and a sizable Boost - helping propel the track to the top of the Sound charts on launch day.
The Coop Records x Higher partnership signals a wider intention of ours to be teaming up with onchain brands that align with the culture we're building at the record label. It's no secret that incentivized mints are our core driver of success these days - and we want to be rewarding our collectors with tokens (like HIGHER) that we really believe in.
Round that out with a #1 record from Daktyl and his Midnight Diner set and the top of the Sound charts is full of talent out of the UK we're stoked to be supporting at Coop Records. The Midnight Diner is our onchain event series - with our next one happening on July 3rd. Minting the set unlocked a net new revenue stream for us and our artists - allowing us to give the artists we book additional income on top of them playing the show. We have 2 Coop Recs artists booked to play our next one - and will be minting the sets afterwards with a free airdrop to all Midnight Diner Pass holders.
Stepping back to LA - we teamed up with onchain music legend Reo Cragun to debut the first single off his new project Pretty Co.
Round that out with genesis records from NASAYA and Evangelia and you've got yourself one of the most stoked weeks of releases for Coop Records yet.

Going to take a new approach to @cooprecs weekly recaps. Realizing that the stats matter a lot less than the why. Why we're building an onchain record label. Why we're releasing with certain artists. I started by going deep on 3 releases from artists out of the UK this week. The UK is where the most exciting electronic music is for me right now. It's a super unique scene that I think it transcending and having a real moment. Coop Records is meant to represent what's fresh, new and exciting in music - and bringing that talent onchain. We did that this week with NOTION, ATRIP and Daktyl and doubled down on it by partnering with @higherco to run a Boost on our song "Ginger". When you think of Coop Records - I need to better communicate who these artists are, and why we're excited about them. Here's the ATRIP track being referenced. I frequently hear from people that he's one of the most slept on artists onchain and this single proves why.
